1. What is an Alpha Advisor?
An Alpha Advisor is an experienced Alpha practitioner who desires to help start and support new and existing Alpha courses.
2. What does an Alpha Advisor do?
Advisors help start and support new and existing courses in a variety of areas including Alpha churches, prisons, workplace, etc.
3. What are the qualifications and expectations for becoming an Alpha Advisor?

4. How long is the commitment?
The Alpha Advisor commitment is for one-year from date of appointment.
5. Is there training available for being an Alpha Advisor?
The best tool for Alpha Advisors is AlphaConnected, a website where the most up-to-date information is available in helping courses get started or supported. Nearly every question that comes up with new or existing courses can be found on this site.
In addition, most Alpha Advisors will be working with a Team Leader. The Team Leader will be regularly trained with "best practices" for Advisors and Local Teams. The Team Leader will then train the local Alpha Advisors.
6. What is the process of becoming an Alpha Advisor?
You might be referred by another Advisor, pastor, or local team. You may even apply on your own initiative.
Your application is reviewed and passed on to a local team. You are also required to obtain a recommendation from your pastor or Alpha leaders.
7. Do I work alone or on a team?
The best scenario is to work with a team. Alpha USA will attempt to connect you with a Team Lead in your area.
8. What if there is no local team? How do I contribute until a team is formed?
We suggest that you make contact with local courses and see how you might help support what they are doing.
9. What's it like to be an Alpha Advisor? Alpha Advisors serve in many different ways. They might present the Alpha course to an interested church. They might help with training new leaders. Others help with follow up after an event through mail or phone calls. Depending on their interest, gifts and availability there is no one set job description that fits every Advisor.
