Workplace
Don Steffens, who is National Director for Alpha in the Workplace, continues to work in Sales and Marketing with Rockwell Automation. He understands the challenges of bringing the gospel into the workplace, and currently runs Alpha in three locations within Rockwell.
Youth/College
Jason Ballard is the Director of Youth Alpha in Canada. He is also the Director of Campusfire, a ministry devoted to growing student led prayer groups in Canadian high schools. He's the co-host of the new and widely received Alpha Youth Film Series. Jason's dream is that every student in Canada would hear the gospel.
Ben Woodman has been a youth pastor in Metro Vancouver since 1999. He is the co-host of Alpha's new Youth Film Series and the Associate Director for Youth Alpha in Canada. He also serves on the leadership team at Cariboo Road Christian Fellowship. He's a fan of Judah Smith, and almost any local church youth leader.
Prisons
Matt Rankin struggled with alcoholism for 30 years, and was miraculously delivered in 2003. Involved with Alpha since 2004, he's participated in over 45 courses. He shares his story of God’s incredible deliverance in churches, prisons and AA, and is the Regional Director for Alpha USA in Central Ohio.
Michael Swiger is Executive Director of True Freedom Ministries and ministers in prisons in NE Ohio. At 19, Michael witnessed his older brother kill his college roommate. Michael refused to testify against his brother, and was convicted of complicity to Involuntary Manslaughter. While in jail, Michael earned multiple degrees from Ohio University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Michael is also a best-selling author of five legal thrillers.
