Day 39

Pray that God would reveal his glory to you and through you as live your life like a mirror reflecting Christ to the world

“Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. ” (John 17:24)

Day 38

Pray that God’s love would overflow from our lives into our Alpha guests and those we know who have not met Jesus

“I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. ” (John 17:22-23)

Day 37

Pray that God would bring unity of spirit and mission to your Alpha team, your church, and the body of Christ in our city as a testimony to the unbelieving world around us that God is real

“My prayer is… that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. ” (John 17:21)

“…you will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.” (John 16:20)

Day 33

Pray for the Holy Spirit to convict those on your Missing Person’s List and draw them to explore and receive the freedom and forgiveness that only Christ can bring

“He will convict the world of guilt… in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me.” (John 16:8-9)

Day 32

Pray for pastors in our community to be filled with faith and a passion to mobilize the body of Christ to share the good news with the lost in our neighborhoods

Catholic’s represent the single largest denomination in the state of Oregon with over 400,000 people (over 10% of the population) identifying themselves as Catholic.  I just learned we will have our first Alpha course being run in a Catholic parish in the state this fall. Alpha is used widely in other places in the country and the world by Catholic communities.

Day 22

Pray for God to open up doors for Alpha courses with senior citizens in churches and retirement communities across our state that many of these individuals would trust in Jesus and be filled with the hope of eternity with him

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray for those who will believe in me through their message.” (John 17:20)
