The ANE One Day Training is a local and affordable alternative to attending a national conference. It provides all you need to launch a new Alpha course. Lisa Smith, as they host a seminar at the upcoming Ethnic Ministry Summit. Reaching the World at Your Doorstep will present an introduction to Multicultural Alpha and Alpha for ESOL. Alpha New England is helping to sponsor the Summit.
There are currently 43 million foreign-born citizens in the US (13.5% of US population) and over 600,000 international students, Alpha ESOL and Multicultural Alpha are highly effective outreach tools.

Alpha USA Marketing Tools: Table Top Display Discount

Report from Free Inside, Alpha in Prison for CT
Our fall semester of programs is coming to an end. This semester we had 12 courses in 7 prisons, most of them went very well, 2 of them had problems that resulted in much lower attendance that usual. Please pray for the spring courses which we plan to start in early February. The reason we start so early is that we need to build in enough time for things like lockdowns and other unexpected occurrences that often arise in prison ministry.Please pray for all the inmates who attended the spring sessions. Pray especially for a young women who just this past Tuesday shared her heartbreaking story. Her grandmother gave birth to her mother in York CI, her mother gave birth to her in York CI, and she recently gave birth to her daughter in York CI. She wept in desperation because she wants to have God break the generational cycle. Please pray for her deliverance.

The Come Follow Me Training Resources for discipleship and disciple making are available to Alpha leaders. These resources can be used as Bible studies or seminar talks or support materials for forming Alpha communities. For more information and sample resources contact DickKiernan@alphausa.org.
Alpha for English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
Alpha for ESOL is specially designed for people for whom English is not their primary language. It allows for more frequent discussion times, and invites guests to consider each topic or idea individually, at a pace that is comfortable for them. There is no focus on English language instruction. It's a wonderful way to explore Christianity in a non threatening environment and make new friends along the way. Youth Alpha Training Sponsored by NSCM, Beverly, MA
North Shore Christian Ministry will continue to host training dates for groups of 20 people anywhere in NE. This training is presented by young adult, experienced course leaders who are offering one day training from 8:30-3:30. The talks focus on practical aspects on how to run Alpha for Youth including a sample session. The cost is $35 for adults, $20 for teens, (and repeat guests for $10).
