Alpha International Matched GAT Event

Based on your preference of timing and country, Alpha International matches you to an event for which a team has been requested.  Alpha International work with you and the local team to prepare the event.  Teams are requested to donate £500 toward GAT.

GAT Event

An Alpha training event run where there is a training need by a volunteer church team in an interactive style

GAT Talks

All of the talks required to be given by the GAT Team at the GAT Event. Each talk has been transcribed, with instructions for the speaker to add their own stories and illustrations. The GAT Talks include both teaching sessions and demonstration sessions.

GAT Team

A team of 4-8 people who (after attending the GAT Team Training) present Alpha training at the GAT Event, working together with a Local Event Coordinator.

GAT Team Training

The training given to all members of every GAT Team. The training covers all aspects of preparing practical details of the trip, preparing and delivering the GAT talks and working cross-culturally.

GAT Trainer

A person who delivers the GAT Team Training.

Local Event Coordinator

The local person responsible for the planning and organization of the logistics of the GAT Event.

Local Team

The team helping the Local Event Coordinator with the planning and organization of the event. The teams will be made up of a variety of people, such as Local Church Leaders who support the event and people who can assist with different tasks. The Local Team will also take responsibility for the pre and post GAT Event introductory meetings and training days ensuring the best possible outcome form the GAT Event.

Self-Matched GAT Event

When teams run a GAT event with theirr own mission contacts.  Teams organize theirr own trip and plan the event with people you know.  Alpha International, if applicable, will introduce them to their Alpha contacts in the country they are traveling to.
