St. Paul’s Theological Centre School of Theology comes to America

On Tuesday, February 16, 2010 St. Andrew's church in Mt. Pleasant South Carolina, will host a one day seminar that you can attend to explore how local churches can run a theology course in their own facilities using their own people to further the Kingdom of God.

“ Teaching theology in the local church gives believers the confidence they need in order to step out and engage the culture in their communities, in our church over 200 people have participated in 3 fall theology courses offered fall 2009,” said Steve Wood, Rector at St. Andrew's Church.

“The St. Paul’s Theological School model is not just academic class room teaching. It follows the Alpha Model – it’s relational. Folks meet for a meal, they listen to a presentation and then they work it out in a small group discussion. During the week people have a chance to live out what they’ve learn. When they come back to their small groups the next week - they have relevant experiences to bring to their learning. It’s not static like seminary theology 101.” he explained.

Date: Tuesday, February 16, 2010
Venue: St. Andrew's Church, Mount Pleasant (Charleston), South Carolina
Time: Seminar - Noon - 5 pm. Dinner/Classes - 6.30 - 9 pm
Cost: $25

The day will feature presentations by The Rev’d Dr. Graham Tomlinson, Principal of St. Paul’s Theological Centre and Dean of St. Mellitus College in London, England. Listen to Graham on the GodPod.
