2010 Alpha Training Plan

In January we kick off our new Alpha training plan. Regardless of your role in Alpha USA or your knowledge of the Alpha course, we believe that the training plan will address your training needs.  The training is put together in such a way that it addresses the needs of those:

  • new to Alpha
  • experienced with Alpha
  • in an Alpha support role

The Central Support Team (CST) will also offer training in different formats and on an on-going basis throughout the year. We will be delivering the training sessions both in-person and on-line. For example, we will offer two Alpha Refresh and Training (ART) sessions in the Bannockburn (Chicago) office in April and September of this year. We have also just signed a contract with iLinc and will be offering web and video conferencing training on a weekly basis.

On January13th we will offer the first iLinc webinar:  Regional Directors and National Coordinators will be receiving electronic invites on how to do effective "Taste of Alpha" and "Getting Started" events that they can pass on to people in the field that they feel would benefit from the specific training module. Webinars will be recorded and made available on our website for later viewing.

Here is a brief summary of the courses that we plan to offer in 2010 (soon they will be listed on the training calendar):
