How Can We Incorporate 'Words of Knowledge' Into Our Healing Evening?

Week nine of the Alpha course is when we look at "Does God Heal Today?" - this is also Chapter 13 in Questions of Life. This talk begins with Nicky explaining what a 'word of knowledge' is:
A word of knowledge (I Cor 12:8) is supernatural revelation of facts concerning a person or situation that is not learned by the efforts of the natural mind, but made known by the Spirit of God.  This may be in the form of a picture, a word seen or heard in the mind or a feeling experienced physically.
One of the ways to allow the Holy Spirit to move during your healing night is to take some time with your leaders and helpers before the evening begins. (Most courses have a short administrative/prayer time before the guests arrive.)  During this time, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what He would like to do or say during the time of ministry.

Then encourage your leaders and helpers to be still and listen for words of knowledge.  Have them either write the the words, scriptures, impressions or pictures down and hand them into the person leading the evening or else during the ministry time they can come up to the front and say what they heard/saw.  Either way, as the words are spoken out, and as people respond it builds everyone's faith.

If you are reading this and have never tried this before - but are willing to, we would love to hear how it goes for you.  Please take a moment to email us your story.
